If your lights, vent fans, and other 12V DC power isn’t working, but your battery monitor says there’s battery power then it’s time to do some troubleshooting. Use SOK Battery’s ABC-BMS app to look at each battery individually. Check to see:
1. Does each battery show voltage (an indicator that it’s on)?
2. Has one of your batteries entered a stored state?
3. Is “DMOSS” (discharge) green?
If the answer to any of these questions is “no”, you’ll need to turn off all incoming power (shore and generator), disconnect your solar array at the disconnect switch, turn your inverter off via the remote, and then disconnect the battery bank at the disconnect switch. Then use a lithium-compatible charger on the suspect battery for 10-20 seconds.
If there’s still no voltage, stop and take a picture of how your batteries are connected. Then disconnect all the cables from your batteries and charge each battery (with a lithium-compatible charger) to 100%, to rebalance your battery bank. Then reconnect the wires using the picture you took to ensure they are connected in the same way.
If your 12V DC power still isn’t working, it may be time to contact a professional RV solar installer to inspect your system.
