What best buds don’t dream of working a fun job together when they grow up? For Adam (left) and Tom (right), they were able to make this dream a reality when Tom returned home from his full-time RV travels and opened a brick-and-mortar shop for Great Outdoors Solar.
Adam Radford – Master Installer
Before joining Great Outdoors Solar, Adam worked with both high and low voltage electricity for 13 years in both residential and commercial applications. Adam has been with the company since the shop opened, and has worked on over 100 different RV’s installing solar panels, inverters, lithium batteries and more. Adam is a perfectionist and wants to ensure each customer’s install is completed to his high standards, both in regards to safety and aesthetic.
Tom West – Founder & Owner
Tom figured out RV solar in 2017 in order to make his full-time RV life more enjoyable, and more affordable, of course. After documenting his RV solar builds on his YouTube channel, he started to receive requests from other full-time RVer’s, to help design their solar systems. With more experience under his belt, Tom began installing solar systems on rigs other than his own, and Great Outdoors Solar was opened as a mobile business in 2020, and grew roots in Central Florida in 2022.
