FAQ’s
Will this package work for my RV?
We can typically fit the 600W package into most RV’s over 25 feet. If you have a smaller RV, we may still be able to fit this system but we’ll need to take measurements to be certain.
Will it power the roof air conditioner?
The 600W system can power a single rooftop A/C for approximately 2.5 hours (without incoming solar), making it ideal for cooling off while you’re at a rest stop making lunch on a travel day. With incoming solar during the day, it can run even longer!
Do I need a chassis charger?
We highly recommend a a chassis charger for smaller motor-homes (< 25 feet) and vans due to limited roof space for solar. A chassis charger uses power from the motor-home’s or truck’s alternator (engine) to charge the house batteries. Typically only smaller RV’s (Class B’s, small Class C’s, truck campers and vans) really benefit from a chassis charger. These smaller RV’s tend to be driven more frequently (especially those without a towed vehicle) and may lack roof space for solar panels. A single chassis charger puts out around 360 watts (30 amps).
What if the 460Ah lithium battery doesn’t fit in my rig?
If a single 460Ah lithium battery isn’t the best fit for your rig, don’t worry! We will substitute one single large battery for several smaller ones, depending on your specific needs.
*Price is for a typical installation: It’s rare, however some RV’s require additional customization, wire, and/or labor. If additional parts and/or labor are needed we will notify the client as soon as we know.
