600W Solar System

All RV’s – Motorhomes, Fifth Wheels, Travel Trailers, Truck Campers, Vans, and more!

The best system for solo travelers looking to camp off-grid for an extended period of time, or a pair of travelers who only want to boondock for a short period of time! This package is customizable to fit your specific needs, or we can work with you to create a completely custom system.

The 600W RV Solar System provides plenty of energy to run normal 12V DC electronics (lights, vent fans, USB outlets, etc.) and small 120V AC electronics (phones, laptops, TVs, etc.) for a very long time, as well as moderate use of larger appliances (air conditioners, microwaves, hair dryers, etc.). Be sure to check out our Frequently Asked Questions for more general information.

Horizontal RICH Solar rigid 200W solar panel for RV's.

Additional 200W Solar Panel | $400

Add one additional 200W Rich Solar Panel. Or, subtract a panel at the same rate.

58.7″ L x 26.8″ W

Fifth wheel soft starter for RV rooftop A/C by MicroAir.

Micro-Air EasyStart | $450 per A/C

If you want to run your air conditioning off of solar via your inverter, you will need an EasyStart in order to lessen the initial energy draw of the A/C. Without one, you will likely damage your inverter over time.

Chassis Charger | $600 (Motorhomes / Vans)

The installation of a Precision Circuits 225A Battery Isolation Manager (or Victron Orion Smart 30A DC-DC Charger) provides house battery charging capability while running the vehicle.

Victron Touch 70 is larger in size than the Victron Touch 50.

Smaller Touch Screen | -$100

Victron makes a touch screen smaller than the Touch 70, called the Touch 50. All functionality is the same in both models.

Touch 50 Dimensions: 3.4″ high x 5″ wide

Touch 70 Dimensions: 4.4″ high x 6.9″ wide

FAQ’s

Will this package work for my RV?
We can typically fit the 600W package into most RV’s over 25 feet. If you have a smaller RV, we may still be able to fit this system but we’ll need to take measurements to be certain.

Will it power the roof air conditioner?
The 600W system can power a single rooftop A/C for approximately 2.5 hours (without incoming solar), making it ideal for cooling off while you’re at a rest stop making lunch on a travel day. With incoming solar during the day, it can run even longer!

Do I need a chassis charger?
We highly recommend a a chassis charger for smaller motor-homes (< 25 feet) and vans due to limited roof space for solar. A chassis charger uses power from the motor-home’s or truck’s alternator (engine) to charge the house batteries. Typically only smaller RV’s (Class B’s, small Class C’s, truck campers and vans) really benefit from a chassis charger. These smaller RV’s tend to be driven more frequently (especially those without a towed vehicle) and may lack roof space for solar panels. A single chassis charger puts out around 360 watts (30 amps).

What if the 460Ah lithium battery doesn’t fit in my rig?
If a single 460Ah lithium battery isn’t the best fit for your rig, don’t worry! We will substitute one single large battery for several smaller ones, depending on your specific needs.

*Price is for a typical installation: It’s rare, however some RV’s require additional customization, wire, and/or labor. If additional parts and/or labor are needed we will notify the client as soon as we know.
